- This Service has been designed for use by all roles. For all roles
Security Officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Along with routine patrol duties and parking enforcement, other services include conducting investigations, responding to emergencies and alarms, making emergency notifications, and securing rooms and buildings. Routine facility and landscaping assessments are made to minimize hazardous conditions. Exterior lighting, doors, and shrubbery are checked for unsafe or hazardous conditions.
A safety escort service is provided from dusk to dawn for anyone alone on campus at night to any University parking lot or facility. Dial 2911 from any campus phone or 689-2911 from a mobile phone to request a safety escort.
Officer’s conduct foot or bicycle patrols regularly to deter potential crime and response to medical emergencies. Officers are trained in emergency First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
