Counseling and support services are designed to help all students develop academic and personal skills in order to succeed in college. Support services are available for students who are low income, academically under prepared, displaced homemakers and/or returning older nontraditional students. Individual and/or group counseling is provided by appointment or walk-in in the following areas: admissions assistance; academic support including and study strategies, academic rules and regulations, educational options, and transfer procedures; career counseling, training, educational requirements and career opportunities; financial aid and scholarships as well as counseling regarding financial aid probation, suspension, or termination; personal support to achieve positive relationships with self and others to facilitate the advancement of educational and career goals; and assistance with job search skills including resume writing, interviewing and locating employment on- and off-campus.
